2016 Amendments to Law Commission Now Effective

The recent amendments that were tabled in Parliament in late 2016 by the Minister for Justice and Community Services. The new amendments have now been published in the officialy gazette on May 3rd 2017. This now gives the new amendments legal effect. The amendments were made to allow for more dialogue with the Law Reform Commission and Government stakeholders and general public.

The Law Commission's recent amendments that were tabled in Parliament late 2016, has now been published in the gazette. The new amendments will allow for a better understanding of the role of the Law Reform Commission. This means it has now come into force. Read the new amendments.

Vanuatu Law Commission Farewells First Ever Staff Member

The Vanuatu Law Commission (VLC) will this week farewell their first ever staff member, Ms Megan Taylor, from her position as Senior Legal Research Officer with the Vanuatu Law Commission.
