The Vanuatu Law Commission (VLC) will this week farewell their first ever staff member, Ms Megan Taylor, from her position as Senior Legal Research Officer with the Vanuatu Law Commission.
Ms Taylor joined the VLC in November of 2010 as part of the Australian Youth Ambassador for Development Program. Secretary of the VLC, Mrs Bertha Pakoasongi, said her achievements and contributions to the establishment of the VLC were outstanding.
“Ms Taylor joined the Vanuatu Law Commission at a time where there was no staff, and she was critical in the appointment of the first Secretary, establishing an office and office procedures and providing training and technical advice on legal research and developing law reform processes.”
Mrs Pakoasongi added “We are incredibly grateful for the work of Ms Taylor, which will go on to guide the operations of the Vanuatu Law Commission.” “We wish Ms Taylor all the very best in her future endeavours.”
