The Mind Care Bill Working Group has reached another important milestone, as it successfully convened its second meeting yesterday at the Law Reform Commission’s conference room in Port Vila.
This meeting formed part of the ongoing process to develop the Mind Care Bill, with discussions focusing on the surrounding policy considerations that will guide the drafting of this significant bill.
In addition, the Working Group brings together key representatives from the Mind Care Unit, Corporate Services of the Ministry of Youth, Justice and Community Services, service users of the Mind Care Unit, Nurses, the Human Rights and Disability Desk, the Vanuatu Women’s Centre, Vanuatu Police Force, the National Mental Health Coordinator, the Ministry of Health, and the Vanuatu Law Reform Commission.
